She shed her warmth and welcome on all the gods.
Freya is the goddess of youth, beauty, summer and warmth. She is the object of desire and thus very busy. When Wotan gave Freya as payment to the frost giants, warmth and delight went out of the lives of the gods. To get her back, Wotan listened to Loki and involved the gods in the curse of the dwarf-gold.
